Anfibio
Where land meets water in quiet transformation
Set along the edge of the Tejo River, in Lisbon’s industrial port of Doca da Marinha, Anfibio unfolds like a slow tide—shifting, reflective, and deeply rooted in place. This restaurant was conceived as an homage to duality: sea and land, day and night, stillness and movement.
Bathed in the light of passing boats and framed by the glint of water just below, the interiors of Anfibio echo the textures of Portuguese fish markets, the rhythmic patterns of beach umbrellas, and the easy elegance of coastal living.
Spaces were designed to evolve throughout the day: sunlit corners for leisurely lunches, shadowed warmth for evening rituals. A sweeping terrace opens to views of the city and harbor, while inside, a play of materials and light transforms the atmosphere—sometimes raw and grounded, sometimes ethereal and reflective.
Every detail nods to Portuguese maritime tradition: tiles, natural wood, patterned fabrics, and the scent of salt lingering just beyond the walls. Anfibio is not just a restaurant—it’s a living, breathing space of transformation.
